Do ring bases come on the Model 10 Predator?

I had to special order a Savage Predator Hunter (MAX1) in 243 because nobody around me carried it in stock. It should arrive next week. It is unclear to me which ring base comes on it, if any. I need to buy rings and am not sure what style to get since I don't know the base. I am pretty sure I will be getting the Mueller APT 4.5-14xAO scope. Thanks for any advice!

I dont think it will come with any, but if it does they will be "weaver style" bases. The bases that come with some of the Savage rifles are pretty much junk anyway, so you can basically put any style ring/base setup you want on it.

My suggestion is to buy a set of Warne 2pc steel bases for it and some Burris Signature Zee rings. It can all be had from Midway for about $50.

Yes it came with Weaver bases...which I don't use...

I use turn in bases with Burris Signature rings.......

Burris also makes Signature Zee rings which fit Weaver style bases..

A pair of Weaver (true Weaver) bases may be low-tech, but work well (# 46 fits most Savage rifles)! :) Regardless of what base you use; always use some form of Burris Signature rings. Zee is for Weaver bases.

Yeah! Which height ring base for these Burris Signature Zee rings?!?!?!?! Midway is showing Medium, High and Extra High for $56. Again, scope is probably the Mueller APT 4.5-14x40.

Woohoo, my Predator arrived yesterday! And it DID come with bases from savage. They appear to be Weaver style base with a single piccatinny channel across each base. I bought Burris Signature Zee rings when I ordered my scope so I guess they will not use the Piccatinny part, right?

If you ordered the "weaver style" Burris rings then you will be fine, as long as you got the cirrect height for your scope.
