Hello Guys,
Last year I purchase my first bolt action rifle, an Axis 93R17, wood stock, heavy barrel, great rifle I cannot be happier with it.
Now I will like to move to a higher caliber (223) and I am not sure if I should go with the NEW Axis or the 10/100 TROPHY HUNTER.
I only use the rifle for target shooting; my outdoor range only goes up to 150 yards.

Thank you!

Go with the trophy hunter... You can do more stuff to it (aftermarket) should you ever decide to tinker around with it.

Thank you for your reply, beside the flexibility, in regards to the quality and reliability, is the Trophy also better?

I think the Trophy Hunter is a step up from the Axis lines... Particularly the recoil lug setup. Aside from that, it is all pretty much the aftermarket additions that the TH has over the Axis lines.

If you can afford it, the TH is the better choice. Not only will you have better aftermarket support down the road should you want to change things up, but resale value will be better as well. With Axis' being so cheap to start with there's little to no market for them on the used market so you pretty much have to give them away to get them to move.

I just used today my 223 axis 2 with the wood stock, a 5-15 mil dot and easily hit 8" steel at 220 and 360 yes today....we had a 30 mph wind to boot.

+1 on the TH for reasons already mentioned.
