Will a Model 11 stock work with a .223 Hog Hunter and this factory DBM? Cannot find an answer. :(

Hi guys, really need your help please.

I have a .223 HH, also have this factory DBM, question is will this model 11 stock work with my action and this factory DBM? Any othe parts needed to convert to a detachable magazine.

It looks like the stock accepts the Axis style magazines with the tab on the front of the magazine and is not meant to have the bottom metal. The DBM setup you show would not drop into that stock without some modifications to the stock. The rear screw hole on the bottom metal fits between the stock and trigger guard. If you look at the stock, the space between the magazine opening and the trigger guard would have to be relieved, at a minimum. I would also think that the stock at the front of the bottom metal would need some hand fitting.

First picture is the bottom metal that you have, second picture is the stock that you have.

I will just pass on the stock offered to me and pick up a correct stock.

Any recommendations on what stock can use my factory DBM and fit my .223 Hog Hunter.[

All these different Savage designs have really confused me. :(

As you can see in the pic of that stock you posted above, the surround for the magazine well is molded into the stock. You need to find one that doesn't have this molded in and instead accepts your bottom metal hardware. As for models, as you've noticed it's a bit tricky and confusing - and moreso because Savage can't make up their minds which setup they want to use on which guns.

The stock above is from a Model 11 Trophy Hunter, and all of those except the very early ones have the molded in setup like pictured above. The early ones will have a plastic insert similar to your bottom metal.

The other complication is that most of the DBM models that use a synthetic stock use the AccuStock, which uses a different recoil lug and thus aren't a direct bolt on. You would have to change the recoil lug, which means pulling the barrel, and there's no guarantee the open sights would align properly (on top) with the new lug.

My suggestion would be to forget an OEM replacement and start looking at some of the aftermarket options. You can get a Hogue Overmold sporter stock for DBM that's pillar bedded for just under $130.
