Pat (82boy) is the one that started up the ABRA matches and serves as the match director for all those matches. Most clubs are more than willing to host matches, the problem is finding people that want to run them every week or every month.

It's really a fun game. I'm told it is very similar to BR50 from the late 80's and early 90's but without all the goofy rules and ridiculous scoring system. An off-the-shelf Ruger 10/22 carbine, an inexpensive scope and a cheap Caldwell rest will get you in the game in factory class. Most guys opt for the 10/22 LVT as it has a heavier barrel that still qualifies for the factory class. The Ruger BX trigger is also allowed in factory class as it's an OEM part.

Would love to see some more clubs in the midwest start doing these matches as right now the Texan's have a huge advantage with multiple clubs holding matches in a relatively close area so they can build up a lot more points towards the national ranking.

Match day! Time to go get my arse handed to me again. LOL Hard to win when you've handicapped yourself with a 10/22 International with a Mannlicher stock, but it also gives me a legitimate excuse for why I lose every month so... :p
