Hello all
newlly registered but reading for awhile here; any way i have a 1899 22 savage hi power solid frame, serial# 136161. first the model #,s have me confused.
what model would this be? serial # suggest it is 1913 year. rear sight is marked savage arms co pat oct-13 1914 hieght and windage adjustable. front is made on the barrel with a brass bead screwed in. also has a lyman rear tang peep model unknown origal not sure.Also has a shotgun style buttstock and 20" barrel

After more looking its a takedown not solid frame. also in todays world about what is it worth.

Sounds like a Featherweight Takedown, with the 20" barrel. Does it have a straight grip?? They cost about $25 new, can't tell you what it's worth now but check a few auction sights and see what they are going for.
The nickname for it was the "Imp".

yes is a straight grip.as far as posting pics can i take them right off my computer are i need photobucket or such.

Sometimes copy and past works for me, other times I've had to use Shutterfly.

It hard to oooahhh and drool without pics!!:o

ok got wife gettig batterys for the cam .but alittle more looking seems it's a 1899h time will tell when i get pic's up.

Sounds like a Featherweight Takedown, with the 20" barrel.

More commonly called the 1899H.

The .22 HP round uses a non-standard .22 caliber bullet. I can't remember if it's over .224 or under. You can find the proper bullets, however, for reloading.
