here is a stock I've had for a good while. it is a semi finished Fajin from the 70s. the rifle residing in it now is a intermediate length model 48 Mauser chambered in .250AI. It has a single shot insert and is a very nice varmit gun. there are many coats of hand rubbed oil on this one.

Removed it for you. To access the attachments to edit them, you have to make sure you're using the Advanced Editor (Go Advanced button). Once in there, scroll down below your post and you should see a list of the attachments to said post and there will be a button to manage attachments so you can remove any you don't want.

Dave that rifle was a custom build I did in the late 80's. It was built in the Tennessee poor boy style. The stock is wild cherry. The barrel was a 7/8" CVA .45 cal that was thinned down to 13/16" to reduce weight. The lock was an Ashmore warranted from TVA Arms and was completely reworked for smooth function. The trigger is a single set and I don't remember the maker. It is all iron mounted in poor boy style. The only glitzy thing on it is a German silver oval plate with my initials engraved . That is in the center of the cheek piece. It shoots best with a .440 ball with a .015" patch and 60 grains of FFFg. It was the first custom muzzle loader I built.

Only problem with PURPLE? Too much "show and tell' at the range and not enough trigger time.
Might just as well leave the ammo at home. ;) Love that Purple stock!!

Finally got around to upgrading the factory tupperware on my Lightweight Hunter . Pattern is Fred's Monte Carlo Sporter that we put on a diet. With the factory stock it weighed in at 5.9-lbs. Now with the walnut stock and bottom metal it only went up a touch to 6lbs. 2oz., so a difference of maybe 3-4 ounces. Finished the stock with 8 applications of 100% Pure Tung Oil and multiple coats of paste wax. Was hoping that it would have darkened up more, but still looks good.
