Not bad but two of the holes look like the bullet was starting to keyhole. Maybe an optical illusion but try at a longer distance to be sure. Wood swells and warps, so make sure your barrel is free floated everytime you use that rifle.

Oops, taking a second look at that stock it seems to be laminate. No swelling problems with it if it is indeed laminate. Plus second look at the target all thre show me signs of keyholing. Especially the two to the right where a small pc of paper is torn out on the left of the holes indicating the pint of the bullet entered there. But, as I said it may be an optical delusion. Adn I am often delusional.

Thought the holes were two rounds, no?

Jeez you missed the red dot and the quarter ! ;D

Nice looking rifle and it looks like a shooter too. What bullet weight are you using? The 8 twist should handle the heavy weights, 105 grains and up, not sure about the 115 DTAC though but it might be worth a try.

Are you collecting parts for the next one yet?

BobT- you nailed it, just picked up a 116 300 win mag for a donor action.

Ammo is vigin loads that I had loaded up for the previous barrel.

New Win brass, CCI 200's, 100grn Hornady soft points over 37grns of IMR 4064. COL was 3.2 to the ogive which was just into the lands on the old chamber.

This was a load that shot well in the older barrel, I loaded up some new rounds to practice with for deer season and then we swapped barrels.

I'm using them to sight in and break in the barrel, so far it's shooting great, looking forward to loading up some 105grn A-Maxs and see what they'll do at longer ranges.
