Factory mag capability

I have a 110 LA centerfeed with a blind mag in a 270 that i plan to turn into a 7mm mag. My original plan was to buy the bottom frame from savage and a bottom plate for the factory magazine and buy an aftermarket stock.

However will the normal 270win factory magazine fit 7mm mag ammo? Or will i have to either find a magnum gun already set up for that or convert to bottom metal from PTG or someone like that?

You will just need the 7mm mag box and the follower. It will snap right into the DBM's bottom plate

Ok great. So it will go into the savage factory bottom? Thanks. This is a hunting rifle so i had no interest in buying the tactical looking stuff with a big mag release.

Like RH said, you don't need a new stock. Just a new magazine box, follower and magnum bolt head.
