Anyone use one? I am thinking about one for a range and hunting rifle.

I have a 10 fcp-sr in 308 in an hs3 but it is for long range prone. Really like it for that purpose. Don't think I would like it compared to a traditional stock for hunting though. It's heavier, angular feeling for carrying around and just not very comfortable to me in the woods. I use my 111 in an accustock for hunting mostly.

Thanks for the input. Not really sure how i feel on a chassis for hunting... I have an xlr element and like it for at the range. And i dont mind it for the small amount of hunting i do with that rifle but it is cold in the winter. I thought the plastic skins would be better for that

You might look at the MDT LSS. It is more of a compromise towards hunting. Kind of the best of both worlds.

I have an MDT LSS and really like it. My model 11 bolted right in, and if you go with light weight components (buttstock, grip, scope and rings) you will end up with a fairly lightweight package that is very nice at the range and certainly tolerable for the occasional hunt.
