308 fcp, 24" barrel, 150gr accubond load data anyone?

Does anyone have some load data for a 308 fcp using an 150gr accubond? I've never owned a 308 and there is a lot of different options for powder and charge size.

Can someone point me in the right direction for at least the powder to start with? The charge size i guess i could figure out as i go.

Varget works in my Hog hunter 308.with 150gr Noslers
Haven't loaded any 308 in a while and I don't remember what the weight was.
We moved from IL to Mo and I haven't found everything yet

Ok, thanks, Ill lookup some info on it. Noslers page shows TAC being a good 308 powder for fps and accuracy. 42gr of TAC has around 110 more fps than 42.5 of Varget. Have you heard anything about it?

Chrono Avg 2710 fps, Spread 22, SD 9, 10 shot group, 79 deg F

Grouped 0.6 to 0.7 moa @ 100

Dang, now that's some data! I've seen the h4895 come up in a few articles I've found. My buddy reloads for me and he used that powder in my 243 and it did great.

I'll hit up the local gun shops in town and see what they have. That will narrow my choices down real fast, then I'll repost with the available powder in my area for everyones opinion. Im suspecting not a lot of options, we have quite a few gun shops but typically they dont carry much for reloading accessories. No way am i paying hazmat shipping and i dont want to buy a lot on my first outing in case my rifle doesn't like it.

Use Varget If you can find it. You can run up to 45+ grains with your bullet. Work up in small increments and use something like an OCW Load Workup. You will learn a lot. Buy dies that don't overwork your brass like Lee does.

45 to 47 gr of Varget is a good window. Reduce and work up especially with GI brass.
