110 Staggered Feed Box Installation?

What is the easiest, or for that matter, correct way to install the box magazine (with tabs) on a 110 action. I have done it once before, my procedure involved a lot of heat, pliers, and hammers, and although it worked, it seems there should be an easier way. I have another one to do and need some help. Thanks!

A screw driver and a hammer works fine.
Set the front tab in, then take a blade screw driver lay it on the tab and with it at an angle where the screw driver will push the tab down and in, give it a light whack with the hammer, and it should be in.

I do the same as 82boy, but I use the palm of my hand instead of a hammer.

I had a failed attempt before at using a variation of the pop in method. Ended up breaking off a tab. So I figured get out the torch heat the tab massage it in, let it cool. It worked but was very time consuming.
