Savage Model 116FSS

I have a Savage model 116FSS with an internal magazine box and was wondering if it can be converted to have an external magazine box? Awhile back I was told Savage has the partscto do so but would not sell them! Has anyone done this to their model 116 FSS?

Yes, you can replace the stock with one inletted for a dbm, and add a magazine bottom to your existing magazine. You won't have a problem ordering the magazine bottom from Savage, I've ordered at least a dozen of them. The plastic bottom runs about $3.00 plus shipping.
