New to the bolt action world and really liking it now but I just bought a new Model 16 ss LWH in 6.5 creedmoor and Savage list the barrel rate twist as n/a so wondering if anyone has any idea what it is?

Pretty sure it is an 8 twist. Check it yourself with a cleaning rod and a tight patch.

It's probably a 1:8 twist, but you'll have to measure to be sure. There are a ton of videos on how to measure a twist on You Tube, go there and watch one. It's easier to send you there the trying to type it out. Because it is button rifled it may not be exactly 1:8 but could be within .25-.5" either way. As long as it's faster than 1:9 you shouldn't have any issues with the majority of bullets.

I'm would say it's an 8 twist, if you consider ever other rifle on the savage website available in the 6.5 CM, list the twist as an 8 twist.
