The barrel looks to have been painted the 10 is all I can make out . It is 308 , 20" barrel and has a folding stock . It shoots well and I like how it sets in bags . Problem with the stock is the hinge button gets the lip now and then when fired and I either need to go with longer eye relief of scope or a conventional stock .
Is there a solid stock available in the 300.00 range ? Can one with a good bedding block be had for that price ?
thanks , Kenneth

It would help if you listed the type of stocks you like.

They come in Composite and Wood.

Is it top bolt or bottom both.

If you like wood them Boyd makes a great drop in wood stock either in Laminate (my favorite as it looks good and is weather stable) or regular wood.

Fit ix excellent.

You can still get a Bell & Carlson Medalist, delivered, for a little over $300, maybe less if You shop around. It has bedding block and full skeleton.

The Choate also has these features, sells for about $230, but is heavy and bulky.

question on the Bell and the Choate . Once rifle is installed is the barrel channel open enough that the barrel floats ? Thanks , Kenneth

I have the B & C Tactical Medalist, and a Savage Bull Barrel floats in it. Plenty of room for a Savage Varmit.

I have a Choate and it has enough room for an 1" barrel at least.
