I was handed down this cool firearm from a good friend. I went to www.savage99.com and inserted the serial number to find it was manufactured in 1912. Was wondering the worth of this item. I'm thinking of taking it to Alaska and take a deer with it. Does anyone have a estimated collectors value. I did take it to a local pawn shop. The owner said he would buy it for $1,000.00. I told him that I wasn't looking to sell it but would like some information about it's value. He was not willing to share any information after I told him I wasn't looking to sell. Any info would be great. Thanks.
