Does ANYONE have any 6.5 Creedmoor go/no go gauges they are willing to sell, trade for, loan, give to me in their will....

I can't find anyone online that has them in stock. Even when it says "instock" and I call, it's instock at someone else's goody room at home. Sheeesh....

Thanks fellas!

I was also thinking of using fired brass for a go gauge and another taped fired brass from the same lot as my gauges but haven't done this is so long I am skeptical I still have the feel for it like I was taught growing up. I've also got rounds without primers I could use, again, from the same lot.

Good or bad idea?!

Exceptable Idea, You could fill the case with epoxy above the neck-shoulder junction if you are worried about the feel.

It's $5 to rent one. While you have it create one with duplicate dimensions from an empty case, filled with epoxy. Then you have a go gage you can use forever.

Midway has no go gauges, mill or filing. 006 off the head end and you have a go gauge
If you grind it off, polish the grind marks with emery paper laid on a sheet of glass or a mirror.

When I was looking for 338 Lapua gauges, I couldn't find any either. I ordered them directly from PTG and got them in a few weeks because they had to make them.

You plan on using "factory loaded" ammo?? Or, rolling your own? Rolling your own, set the head space to YOUR liking, on the snug side.
SAAMI has too much slop!! Brass, new or fired works for me. Couldn't chamber factory loaded ammo on a bet on ANY of my rigs.
Brass doesn't move much (on the snug side) when sizing so it lasts a looong time.
No epoxy in the gauge/brass. Just go easy on the "feel thing". And you'll really have to REEF on it to move the shoulder.

I headspace to my resized brass. Always has fired factory ammo when i tried it. Some kind of comparator will tell you if your sized brass is the same shoulder length as a factory round.
