Not much is written about the Savage Model 11 Long Range Hunter, 6.5 Creedmoor, Accustock and Accutrigger. I have found it to be a very find versatile rifle. Light weight enough for shooting the wide variety of game and animals found in our region of the USA -- Coyote, Ground Hogs, Deer, Etc. Accurate enough for Long Range Bench rest Shooting up 1000 Yards. In a recent Marksmanship Match, the course of fire ranged from 100 to 750 Yards. All targets were 2 MOA in Size, 10 Points awarded the each hit. With 8 minutes to complete 20 Shots – 2 shots at 100 Yards, 5-shots 600 Yard on 12 inch swinger, 5-shots at 750 Yard Silhouette, 5-shots at 600 Silhouette and final 3-shots at 100 yard 2 inch target. The course of fire from 100 yards up to 750 Yards and back down to 100 Yards also tests the tracking ability of the scope. While I reload much of my ammo, I frequently shoot Hornady 140 Gr Match or Winchester 140 Gr HPBT Match. The weather was a nice 50 degrees, with a consistent 5 MPH wind from the right. I was able to hit each target. The Hornady 140 Gr Match has velocity of 2750 fps and the Winchester 140 Gr HPBT Match has velocity of 2800 fps out of my rifle. It is fun to hear the steel ding at 750 Yards – instant gratification. At 1,000 Yards, I dial in 8.2 Mils (1 Mil=36 Inches at 1,000 Yards) and consistently hit 1-2 MOA. At the range, we typically have swirling wind from 5-10+ mph. If anyone has shot this rifle at 1,000 yards and have been able to determine their MOA results at 1,000 yds let me know. I believe this rifle is capable of sub MOA at 1000 yds but the wind makes it difficult for me to know for sure. Or if you have specific Reloading Load Data that works well for you.
