Mark II target?

Thinking about one of these as a starter gun for a young person. What ammo do these normally like?

All I can say is for you to try out different ammo in your rifle. Some rifles prefer standard velocity while others do better with high velocity. One rifle might shoot a certain brand better than the next rifle. I've only tried a few different types/brands in my BTVLSS and it prefers CCI MiniMags the best.

My MK-II FV (heavy barrel) shoots the very expensive ammo (RWS-50 & Eley Match) sub-moa 100 yards. Tho the first few cold bore shots go a couple inches high.

When you say "Target" do you mean the one with Peep sight ? mine has no peep sights.

I have the peep sight model, but installed a Nikon scope. It likes Eley Target. 50 yards, three shots in a single hole.

I have a MKII, I shoot CCI 40 grain 1070fps, get good groups at 40 yds.
