Hi Guys
I finally found a site where people know stuff about savage rifles. Over here there is a small group of shooters who use savages and love them. I have been doing my own gunsmithing for quite a while and in the past 2 years have become a licensed gundealer at the request of our local police force.I inherited my Dads springfeild mod 56 and fitted a scope and its my bunny buster, it shoots really good especially for a rifle of its age and how much work it has done. I bought me first savage in 30/06 fired 5 rnds and them screwed in a 257 ack Maddco Rem Varmit profile barrel and it is awesome to shoot. I have since them wanted to build a F Class on another action, I rebarrelled a Savage FTR in 7 x 57 ack Improved for one of our club members it works a treat. I have since bought a axis 308 less bolt to start another build. That leads me to my next question, are there any places in the USA that I might source a bolt? apart from PTG? Can I use another models bolt and change the bolt handle? I hope you guys could answer these questions. any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Roger
