I'm new to the site, and I have just acquired a Savage Striker in .204. I know, I know Savage didn't make the Striker in .204. This has a Savage Model 12 .204 Ruger barrel in front of the Striker back end. I've not shot it yet, 'cause I'm waiting on the optics.
It is heavy, especially toward the front end. That is no problem for bench rest, but it would be a killer to try and hunt it.
So far my only complaint is the trigger, and I suppose it's because I'm used to the Savage Accu-trigger on two of my rifles, and the silky smooth trigger on my Remington XP100 in .221. I'm wondering if the trigger can be replaced with an Accu-trigger?
Any thoughts on Optics for this pistol? I have a Burris 3X-12X on my XP100, and I like it. I'm wondering if I should go that way?
