This is my second post so maybe shouldn't be in this section but as I am still learning my way around I took the easy option and posted here.
I have a Savage Model 40 Varmint Hunter in 22H that has shorn the tip off the right hand extractor. The extractors look to be stampings and are are not particularly hard. Quite disappointing given my otherwise happiness with the rfile's performance.
I have contacted Savage, looked in Numrich and Brownells - all to no avail.
I intend to make a replacement using an old power hacksaw blade.
I thought I would try here first though and ask if anyone knows of a source for the part. I think Savage call it 4K.
