I want to convert my 270WSM 116 Weather Warrior to 450 Marlin. I'm dumb about this all this so I'm asking for help from yall. If I can, where can I get a barrel made for it?? Thanks From the new guy.

I hope I don't come off as dismissive but I would check the web sites of some barrel manufactures. If none offer a 450 Marlin then the you may have to have a reamer built (if one can not be rented) to accomplish your goal.

Thank oldday I need it for deer hunting in our neck of the woods we can only use straight wall cals 1.8" or less. If I have a 450 I can cut down the brass pull the bullet way out and still get a full house 450 load packed in it.
Ill take any recommendations on barrel companies

One source for a barrel would be ER Shaw. Their barrel would offer plenty of hunting accuracy. I see no reason to spend more for a hunting rifle barrel. Expect at least a 4 month wait for delivery. I doubt any other provider would be any quicker because that chambering is a little rare in a bolt action. But it is a great idea You have! :-)

Big difference between not being knowledgeable and dumb (actually the right term is ignorant but its gotten to have bad connotations. All it means is you don't know, it has nothing to do with intelligence . I am ignorant on how to make atomic bombs! (along with a few other things!)

On the contrary, dumb is jumping in without known what you are doing.

You are asking the right quesiotn.

I agree with FWConch, EA shaw if its going to be a hunting barrel.

do you know if your wsm barrel is a small shank? if it is and you end up not needing the barrel i would be interested in it.

Hey everyone, I was creeping and found your thread. Last summer I had a model 7 300saum converted to 450 marlin. It has a 23" X-calliber barrel, 18 twist. Its a shooter, the 450 has a lot of potential.
