Scope issues

Maybe a stupid question but, when you said it shot some 8" high and 8" left, did you mean that's as close as it got after maxing out the turrets adjustment ?

Make sure the scope's objective bell doesn't touch the front of the rail. I'm guilty of this mistake :frusty:

That is correct at 15 yards, and in the past I have done the bell thing to but not this time, I may have chosen to high of rings specifically to avoid that problem

I don't know how you make a barrel right when its mis threaded or a chamber issue.

Maybe someone else who has background can weight in. I can only see cutting the barrel down and starting over.

I would be skeptical. Maybe call Criterions and see what they say.

One of the reasons I won't deal with anyone other than Jim at NSS or similar.

He orders direct, if Criterion muck it up they own it without an question (I suspect Shilen is the same)

My order via Dennis could have been a mistake if that barrel (probably done by Jim at Apache) had gone wrong.

Its not that he would not make it right, its the time it would have taken to do so and I would have been very frustrated.
