sorry don't know about suppressors other than noise reduction what about a a good muzzle brake. they help with 338 win mag and 300 weaterby
Sound suppression is precisely the idea. Especially when shooting under cover, the report to the shooter is amplified by any structure around them. A suppressor attached to a muzzle brake not only performs as a muzzle brake, it reduces the trauma to the shooter's hearing. I already have serious hearing damage from my military service which has resulted in trauma on the auditory nerve on my left side. I would like to minimize any further damage in my old age.
Besides, for me to install a muzzle brake on my .308 I will need to have it either threaded or re-barrelled. I might as well put on a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel.
