scope with target turrets

I picked up a new Savage model 10T in 6,5 CM, looking to put a scope on for long range shooting, i have 2 Sightron SIII 8x32x56 on my 6BR and a 6,5x284, i really don't want to spend 800-900 dollars on a scope for this gun, i want to stay at 6x24 power, what are good choices of scopes in the power range with target turrets, that have reliable clicks and at least 60" of elevation adj.

I've been looking for the same thing for about a year... The answer I have found is Sightron SIII 6-24 is really the best bang for the buck (based upon research, not field tested). The other option I have found is the Vortex PST line, but they are more expensive, and from what I've read from reviews, has more things go wrong with them... canted reticles seem to be the biggest problem.

If you are wanting target turrets then you should want them to be "exact" for what you're dialing in.... Sightron seems to have done that right....

SWFA is a cheaper scope that is being used in long range Milk jug shoots in UT. Not sure as to mag ranges that are offered however.

Leupold VX2 6-18x40 target. Very clear, very light and very repeatable. Won't break the bank, works really well and has just as good of a warranty as anything else.

funny you mentioned that model... i have a similar model or it's the same scope upgraded or maybe some changes, i have the old model 50960 fantastic scope. gonna look at that model you mentioned and call leupold and inquire about it.

going to look at this one too, i notice a big variation in pricing, i found one at 390.00 is that about the best price around. is this the right model i listed below

i missed your budget at first glance. But this is a great scope even if a higher price than you're looking to spend.

I Ggot looking at the specs on the stac 26015, does it seem odd, 15moa per turn, why not 16 to keep it simple

i am looing for opinions on reticle choices that come on the Sightron Stac in 4x20x50 scope there is the moa and the duplex, since i will be using it for hunting groundhogs and some target shooting, which would be the better choice

The MOA reticle has a center dot and finer lines if you plan to shoot a lot of paper/small targets. Keep in mind this is a SFP scope. Therefore, the 2-MOA reticle hash marks are calibrated to be accurate at the scopes highest power setting. I went with the duplex reticle since I don't like to look through at a lot of reticle clutter. I find it is quicker and more accurate with the exposed target-style turrets to dial and shoot base on yardage obtained with a good rangefinder and a turret dial pre-calibrated for my load.
