Break in period on Axis in .223 Remington

I just got my first Savage Axis chambered in .223 Remington. Before I start spending a bunch of time in getting my scope dialed in, I want to give it a proper break in period. Any suggestions on how many rounds that should be?

fire 10 then run a brush through it. Remember they test fire it from the factory (mine came test fired) Your POI wont change a substantial amount your grouping might get tighter.
