Need help with some load devolpemt. Smallest I got was 1" with 55gr nbt with 33gr of varget. I know I can get smaller groups with h380. But don't like how temp sensitive it is.

Any help would be great
thanks

With Varget you may want to start at 35 grains and work up to 36

With H380 start at 36 and work up to 37.

Report back.

i ran 38gr of h380 with 50gr vmax and 55gr nbt and all shot 1/2-3/8 groups no signs of pressure. And I did 36grains of varget with 50gr nbt and shot 3/8 groups all day long. Reason I'm going back to 55gr is to save fur and slow my bullets down. And want to try avoiding h380 for the reason that it's so temp sensitive. So I'm looking for a new load with 55hr without h380

My Mdl 12 FVSS shoots tiny groups and is death to groundhogs well past 400 yards with a 55gr sierra 1350 over 36.0 gr of Varget.

Wonder if I could do 36grains of varget behind 55gr nbt? I'll see what happens

From my notes: 34.9 to 35.6 grains IMR 4320 and 55 V-Max, CCI-200, 3600+fps

35.0 grains Varget, Sierra 53 grain HP (p/n 1400) , CCI-200, Lapua brass, 3680 fps.

35.0 grains Varget, 55 grain Sierra Blitz King, CCI-200, Hornaday brass, 3600 fps, sub 1/4 moa, but not consistent (or I'm not consistent...LOL).
