Axis II 6.5

Saw a guy shooting the Axis II 6.5 Creedmore today 100 yds just resting off the bench with his elbows. Wow 1 1/2 inch group with Hornady ammo. Hardwood stock $400.00 from Cabelas. May have to get one.🤓

I got an xcaliber 6.5 creedmoor barrel from an ebay vendor and intend to rebarrel a used 7mm 08 Axis I picked up when the head space gauges come in from PTG.
The gauges were not in stock with PTG and are being made-maybe should have looked at Brownells first?

I just shot my Axis II 6.5 in SS Synthetic, and i shot 3 (3 shot) groups 2 were sub moa 2 being 1/2 moa. Hornaday 120gr shot slightly better than Hornaday 140gr ELD

The best group clover leafed shots .54" . If it was a target barrel i would have shot 5 shot groups but since its a hunting profile barrel the 3 shots work perfectly fine for determining how it will shoot
