Bought a new boyd stock and placed the 223 blind magazine and L-bracket in it and noticed it will not stay in place. I tried just placing the action on top and screwing the receiver in but the blind magazine is loose in the stock and has play.

Also the trigger seems to be stuck when I try to cock it because the bolt release lever rubs against the L-bracket of the blind mag. Any help?

It should be a press fit to get the mag and bracket it.

If it just drops in, did you get or get sent a staggerfeed stock by error?

I intentionally put a center feed mag in a staggerfeed stock, and I had to stack some folded paper on each side for fitting on a 110. Without the paper, the mag just rattled, which is why I ask.

What does the action screw spacing of the stock measure? If it measure 4.275" I would say you got a stagger feed stock. Center feed should measure 4.4" center to center.

This is a center feed stock for center feed receiver. I think I narrowed down the source of the seized trigger, it is either depressing on the front or rear of trigger when I close the bolt.

Is it normal to do fitting of boyd stocks in this area?

I have a Boyds stick that is similar, although a stagger feed stock with a center feed magazine. Similar to hereinaz I had to "solidify" things. I used a hot glue gun. So far all is well.

For your purpose it should be a drop in application. possible that something is off just a bit. Usually no fitting required.

Found the trigger seize problem: Accutrigger adjustment spring that protrudes outside the housing depressed against the stock and depresses the trigger slightly, causing it to be in a 'fire' position.

As for the loose blind mag, I think I will just put a DBM in since making the stock permanently blind-mag is not something I'm happy with

Bend the tab out a little on the L tab
This will take up some slack
if that is not enough glue a thin shim in place in the stock at the back
I have had different stocks with the same problem
