New guy from Iowa

Hello, just joined the forum, interested in info on Stevens 200 barrel conversions. I have a short action .223 and want to make it into a .308 or .338 federal, ( if I can find a barrel). I know I have to change the bolt face, but have questions about the magazine, I have a center feed blind mag. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Should have said a little about myself in the first post, I have been hunting and tinkering with firearms for 30 years or so, at first with shotguns and .22's, ( can't use center-fire rifles for deer in Iowa), as I have gotten older I have been able to hunt in other states, and have expanded my small collection to include rifles and handguns. My last project was converting my Kimber 1911 to 460 Rowland, an awesome round! I have an AR in 5.56, so don't need a bolt action.223, so I figured why not make it into something I can use for Elk/deer, the reason for my questions in the first post.
