Long time shooter but new to Savage. I recently bought a Savage Axis XP in 223 as a plinker to share the same ammo as the AR15 and to slow down on the ammo consumption. Before the first range trip to zero rifle, I did the DIY trigger mod with over-travel screw and then replaced the scope and added a bipod. A very accurate rifle for the money. The only problem is that I have to suppress my desire to put so many possible upgrades on this $200 rifle. :distracted:
