Has anyone had a Shilen 243 1-10 TW rechambered to 6BR ? If so was it more accurate and worth it ? Thinking real hard on this one ???

Got enough meat/shank on the chamber end ?

That's why when I build a bbl....its got an extra

long shank or plain straight cylinder....

More like .800" if you want to keep the neck @ .271".

the 10 twist PacNor that I have is great with 75gr SMKs and fantastic with Bibb 95's, but that is as heavy as it goes. You might want to sell the 243 and buy a new 6mmBR if you want a 9 twist or faster. Most smiths quote at about $150 to rechamber your bbl when they have to cut off some bbl and recut the threads. How many rounds down the 243, they are not easy on barrels. You won't get much for a high count barrel or much use from if you rechamber. JimDee

It has a low round count less 200.
