New Savage shooter in So. Cal.

Just picked up a model 10 FCP-K in .308 and an Axis HB in .223. Wanted to learn more about the guns from those who shoot them. Always heard good things about Savage, never owned one. My background: 18 years in local crime lab, 8 of those in firearms forensics. 14 years reserve deputy in S&R. Bloodhound team sergeant. Cadaver dog handler. Attorney since 2003- no longer practice. Currently semi-retired with a consulting practice to attorneys in forensic toxicology. Looking forward to chatting with y'all.
