For shooting targets from 400-700 yards with occasional shots closer and farther out.

Any suggestions as to a specific ring/mount or type welcome.

Burris Signature Zee rings are the best. 8)

Signatures for sure! But I prefer the standard mount rather than a rail

With the supplied inserts, the only elevation you'll have will be in the scope. I honestly don't know if the T36 will have enough to get you to 700+

Burris does make inserts that are offset. Or, you might need a base with built in taper. Hopefully someone with more long range knowledge will give you a definite answer.

Bullet weight, velocity, BC, etc. would be helpful
