View Full Version : Trigger Guard? (Boyd's + Timney content)

All - I ended up upgrading my stock to a Boyd's then getting the appropriate Timney for it. I've seen suggestions of adding washers or even tape to the underside of the trigger guard (both of which are excellent and likely routes), but the Boyd's/Timney combination yielded a trigger that's almost touching the guard. Any other suggestions beyond the tape/washer/old credit card route?

you could always cut come off the bottom of the trigger.. I think the washer trick is one of the best and easiest though.

1/4" washer from box store. Check trigger clearance then.

Will that mess with the magazine sit/round height/etc? (washer)

I haven't had any problems after using the washer

Cool, thx. I finally have a chance to get to the hardware store today, so will look for them. If yours is a Boyd's... did you put washers under both guard screws or just the front one?

Mine is in a pro varmint from Boyd's. I honestly don't remember if I just did one or both of the screws. I could tear it down and check if you need me to

No worries... I'll just get both. It almost seems like doing the front-only may be adequate enough as it'd rock the curve further back a little
