I have done an extensive search and can't seem to find
any directions for adjusting the Savage 4 screw trigger.
I sure could use some help.

Did Savage make a four screw trigger? Could it be a SAV-1 or a Timney trigger?

Is this what you're looking for?

If so I'd just like to ad: Be sure and keep some arch in the trigger return spring. If you don't and leave the spring flat, the sear might not fully reset. A lighter spring made of piano wire (I use .043 wire from the hardware store) is much preferable to a spring adjusted flat with no arch. also make sure it's down in the notch on the adjustment screw. Personally I don't consider the spring as adjusted in the photo to be safe.
Also be sure and lock down the screws with nail polish when you're done to prevent recoil from inadvertently making any further adjustments.
Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I looked it up on the net and it is a Sav-1 trigger.
I bought the rifle used so somebody had already had replaced the trigger.

Yes, Savage did make a four screw trigger. The fourth screw was pointed and ran through the rear of the trigger into a groove in the trigger mounting pin to keep the trigger centered. I have one on an early '70s 110CL in .30-06.
