Accutrigger won't go below 2.5 pounds

I bought a used model 11 204 and was trying to adjust the trigger pull. I was hoping for 1.5 pounds but I stops at 2.5. Is there any way to get any more?

Some accu triggers only go down to 2.5lbs., there are 3 different models with three different ranges.You more than likely have the one that only goes that far,if you have bottomed it out watch for slam fires.

do some search on accu trigger springs. SSS will sell you a lighter one, but the base model spring has been modified by some members to give a lower pull weight.
I havn't had any "slam fires"

Thanks for the replies. I've been modifying 10/22's forever, so this ought to be a breeze (I hope) LOL. I might just leave it at 2.5 anyway. It is very crisp and clean breaking.

Yup this is correct. The model 12's and 10fps got the lighter spring. You can buy the lighter spring from SSS, or clip your spring a coil. If your adventurous the threaded area of the trigger is 10x24, this opens up other ideas for springs.

I did cut the 3 tight rings off the spring and it worked beautifully. When SSS gets the lighter spring in stock, I will get one of them just in case. It is at 1.3 pounds now with no bump fires. Luv it!

Have you actually shot it with the trigger at 1.3 pounds? It is often only when loading live rounds that you get the sear slippage. It wont bump fire - the sear will just jam up against the accutrigger blade. The trigger will lock up and you will notice that the firing pin appears to be only half-cocked.

IIRC, there are actually two springs that affect trigger pull. One is the accutrigger spring that you can screw in/out. Or, on a non-accutrigger, the slightly bent spring, for which someone here offers free piano spring to lower the pull.

The second is the sear spring (this is the L-shaped spring with a few turns) that is on the side of the receiver beside the sear. SSS sells a lightweight version of this.

Personally, I simply turn the accutrigger spring all the way in, then use the lightweight sear spring.
