Glad to be part of your forum. I am an avid marksman (for just the last 38 years or so)
I have just recently begun loading for the 300 savage, and am falling in love with, and will likely be the new owner of a 99 in 300 savage. Wow, what a cool round. My early attempts at reloading have given 1" 100 yard groups with 150 grain bullets. Just 40 gr. of W 748 and almost 2500 fps velocity - out of a freakin' antique! That is not only impressive for the accuracy, but for the efficiency of powder usage.
The 125 gr Nosler load data shows some amazing possibilities - velocities exceeding 3000 fps.
I am interested in learning more about the various 99 models, and am interested in others reloading experiences - especially with 125 grain bullets.
