I have a Savage Model 12 LRP in 6.5 creedmoor and really enjoy this rifle. I am thinking about having it threaded for a suppressor. Has anyone ever had this done to the LRP and if so how did it turn out? Also interested in any gunsmith recommendations.
Thank you.

For what it would cost to get the barrel threaded, you may want to look into purchasing a prefit that's already threaded.

It shouldn't cost that much.
Really easy task for a machinist.

I figured it would be much more than $25 or $50.

I shot at the range this summer with a guy that had a 260 lrp. Had a stock barrel threaded for suppressor by a machinest friend. I know some guys are leary about threading a stock barrel, he said he has had no issues.
