I built a 300 win mag with a barrel chambered at apache. I told him to chamber it for 212 eldx's. Checking the length to ogive I measure 2.799", 3.506" coal. This leaves almost half the bullet in the case. Obviously my pictures are not precise and just to show how much of the bullet is down in the case, is this something I should worry about for case capacity? I am planning on pushing this barrel to try to get 2900 fps or more with h1000.

I wouldn't worry about the capacity.
Unless you only barely hung the bullet in anyway, you will likely have a slightly compressed load; and to get that velocity you are most likely going to be over-pressure anyway. Not saying you can't/shouldn't/won't, saying understand what you are doing.

Unless you REALLY compress the snot out of most powders, there is no issue other than possibly an ignition delay. But a hotter primer will deal with that easily.

I have the exact same chambering from Apache.
i was worried about the same thing.... Don't be
i get 2900 with a 212 ELDX with H1000, and it isn't compressed at 76grs
same story with a 208 eldm at 2950 with 77 grains.
mine is 27" xcaliber blank

Exactly what I wanted to hear.
