Does anyone know the reamer diameter that Savage uses in the LRPV chambered in 6MM Norma BR?
I called Savage and asked them their response was that it was proprietary.
I need to know as I am going to turn the case necks.

To be sure you could buy some chamber casting metal and make a cast of your particular chamber, measure it, and then you would know for sure. Even if you get a number from Savage or from some other source, that is not necessarily the reamer they used for your chamber. You can heat this metal with a heat gun, it isn't very expensive, and it's easy to use. Just don't spill it on your bare feet. ;)

You can bet it is a no turn neck sized reamer.

"their response was that it was proprietary?"

That probably means they have no idea what you're talking about.
Like was said, it's probably a no turn like maybe a .272 neck.
Older (Gold box) and even the newer (Blue box) Lapua brass will work just fine.
If they were to build an over the counter rifle that the necks needed turning, there would be VERY FEW takers.
Guys want to load up and go shooting, not be messing with turning necks.

I think that if you called Northland shooters supply, or another of the barrel advertisers here, you could probably get your question answered very quickly.

Savage uses a C.I.P. spec 6 BR Norma reamer. .272" neck, .082" freebore, 1.5 degree lead angle.
