I have a 110 action that I want to put into a Accu Stock I picked up. The action holes line up great but I will need to inlet the bolt release area a bit, looks like they plan for this as it is indicated on the stock. I know I will need a new recoil lug, which I am having a heck of a time finding but is there anything else I will need to do to get this to work? I called Savage but they won't sell me a recoil lug because my rifle did not come with the Accu Stock, they said they will only sell replacement parts that came with the gun. Just wondering if this is more trouble than it is worth?

If B&C still sold stocks in LA for #5+ contour barrels it would not even be an issue but that is no longer an option.

You can grind down the sides of your recoil lug to fit the recess of the accustock or order a accustock lug, I though I saw one on midway ?

$10 to $14 blued or stainless.

I've inleted bottom bolt release stocks for top release. It's simple with a dremel.

If you need to open up the barrel channel, a socket and sand paper does a good job.

Thanks Zero,

I was looking at that but was not sure it would work because my stock has a much fatter lug channel and there is a 3rd bolt that screws into the lug.

You have a 1st generation Accustock, the 3rd screw screws into a wedge that has been eliminated in later versions. I believe that you do not need the wedge even with the stock you have so any Accustock recoil lug should work.

Wow, this thing must have been sitting in somebodies closet for a long time then. Pretty sure it has never been used. Still has the 2 Accu-xxx stickers on it in fact.
