The 10 round may does work in the 10T in both 6.5 and 308.

I know the scout magazine will work. I emailed savage and ordered a 10 round mag from them. Friggin expensive but nice to have. Since changing out my 6.5 10T chassis, am now able to use AICS mags which is great and cheaper.

Oh btw I also bought a 10t. At $499 it's a great value.

New member and just purchased the 10T in .308. Well I mounted my Vortex Viper HS 5-15x44 (Mil Dot) on the 10T and my elevation is bottomed out and still shoots about foot high at 100 yards. Looks like I will need to add a 20 moa rail and start over.

I'm also considering buying a 10T, unfortunately at the $599 price point.
Does it have the bull barrel?

The 10T does have a 5R 24 inch bull barrel in both 308 and 6.5 creedmoor.

Just use a pipe wrench to get the smooth barrel nut off, as you should order a new barrel nut and recoil lug (northland shooter supply). Swapping out barrels on the savage is pretty easy with the correct tools.

The 10T at Cabelas has a "heavy" barrel. It appears to be about the same contour as the Savage 12FV which (I can confirm) is closer to a varmint contour rather than a full bull barrel.

It is a Varmint Contour, or at least Savages take on that.

I would call it a Heavy Barrel. Nice setup, still not over heavy, but solid enough to take some rounds.

I am just getting back to mine but it shot some good 1/2 inch groups when I first shot it (12FV in 308)

I have not bought a 10T, So I may be way off here and if I am please excuse my bringing this up, But when I bought my 10FCP-SR several people were buying them at Cabelas, They were buying a cheaper version of the 10FCP-SR that Cabelas was running a special on, These rifles were produced for Cabelas only, And they were not getting a accu stock on those rifles, They were getting Tupperware only and there is a big difference, Like I said this may not be the case with the 10T andif its not then forget I said anything, But a lot of guys were really unhappy when they found this out, Cabelas has rifles produced escpecially for them for sales, Ive heard wally world does the same thing so be sure to check it out before buying, Merry Christmas

Bought my 10T from Cabela's a few months ago .... Rifle had a sticker on the side that said Accu stock

You Tube from June 2016 that drew me to the Savage 10T .... at 1:41 it mentions the Accu Trigger and Stock

Having had my 10T in 6.5 out of the stock, I can say that it's an Accustock.

Other than the bottom bolt release that has gotten all too standard that's a real bargain.

Maybe better than the 12FV though no regrets, I like the segmented nut and top bolt release setup.
