Did the LRPV have a magazine or were they single shot??

I saw a nice Savage at a shop today but didn't think to check the model. It is a target action, single shot, right bolt-left port, target accutrigger,, fluted stainless heavy barrel in .22-250., stock looked and felt like my old HS Precision. Would this be a model 12 LRVP?? Price is $750 and it's in excellent condition outside but didn't check the bore. I'm asking because I've read some folks talking about their LRPV's with a DBM.
