I have a model 12fv w/heavy varmint barrel who's muzzle diameter measures approx. .83 in.
I am interested in the mod 11 trophy predator hunter which is listed as having a medium contour barrel.
Does anyone know what the muzzle diameter of this rifle is?
I am looking to use the mod 11 for. range/target in .223 caliber.
Am concerned about barrel heating up during range sessions.

i have a 243 trophy pred hunter and the muzzle measures .750
i also have model 200 in 223 w/ 26" mcgowen medium sporter .590 muzzle and is very low in the heat department.
you wont have any problems w/ pred hunter in 223 unless you just try to over heat the barrel
obtw....they both shoot nickel groups

I could run the barrel too hot to grab on my 11 TPH and it still shoots same POI. I had the option of paying FAR less for a 12FV and I selected the 11 TPH because, to me, it's a lot handier of a rifle and I'm not going to do anything to it. I traded the Nikon scope for plinking ammo.

Mine likes 69-75gr bullets and shoots ADI Outback 69gr SMK and Federal Gold Medal 69gr SMK factory loads into bugholes.

I shoot 68gr Hornady BTHP over Varget and H4895 with consistent 1/2" or less groups.
