Hey all,
Just bought my first Savage a 12 LRPT 6.5 Creedmoor. Mounted a Vortex Viper PST 6.5X24X50 FFP on a 20 moa nightforce rail with Vortex Matching rings.
I've been shooting since the early 60's which only goes to prove how OLD I am. Shot some in the Air Force as a security police in the late 60's early 70's. Hunted deer, Elk, rabbits, geese, ducks, and now targets. I have always shot an old JC Higgens model 50 270 win. Nice rifle that has always shot straight and true. I bedded the action and glass bedded the stock.
With this new Savage I want to become more of a long range precision shooter.
Anybody in Utah have any good desert shooting spots? I'm in northern Utah in Huntsville.
