Won't pick up last shell?

I have a new 308 Win. Axis and it won't pick up the last shell from the clip.
Any ideas on what can be done to get it to to fix it?

The feed lips probably need to be opened up slightly on the magazine so that the last round will sit high enough in the mag for the bolt to catch it. Remember a tiny adjustment can go a long way. Open them too much and the rounds will come out on their own or there won't be enough tension on the last round...

Not meaning to demean anyone's capabilities, but this can also happen if you are not inserting the magazine properly. Angle the mag in to the well rear-end-first, pivot the front end up until it locks in.
