Looks like they are going to have 3 strapped together. Two on the ground and on on top PYRAMID style. So we are shooting off the tip one. They are of the black ribbed 'for her pleasure' So they are stacked up and from what I saw from the pics, they are more narrow than a plastic barrel. So the front bi pod can hang off front slde and mag can hang over back side. i hope I am making this question as easy as possible. I know there are two ways to skin a cat but in this case I dont even have a cat.

My thoughts were use small to medium ish" bag on top, supporting rifle moslty wit that bag. Maybe bottom out mag on to culvert for support. The radius of the pipe is to small to just go and use bi pods and a bag. I believe this is one of the ones that will struggle to get to clean this stage.

how tall is this stage? are the pipes 6" or 6' tall? personally i dont like my rifle supported near or past the center point i try to keep supported positions as close to the muzzle end as i can or as close as the stage will allow....the closer you get to the center point the more any movement at the butt is amplified at the muzzle.

if it was a tall stage id set up like this....sling over neck just to support the rear of the rifle...

note that my bipod is extended so that my pivot point is as close to the muzzle as i can be...

Ill try and post a link to pic of actual stage

And wow on the set up. Ok Ill try that tomorrow and see how it feels. Tomorrow is probably last practice before the match except dry fire at home. It looks like the diameter is just a little smaller than a barrel. One of the reasons I want to break down these positions so much, besides wanting to learn how to shoot them, is because our series rotates between just a few ranges and they use the same set ups over again many times. Some things are changed but the obstacles are limited so the guys, and gals, that have been in the series longer have had quite a bit of experience on these stages and Im trying to plan ahead how to attack them.

Last time I just followed along and did what everyone in the squad did even though I thought a little change might be better for me. So where I can I want to try and shoot my game. May fail miserably but I will be responsible. Those guys helped us a lot. Dont get me wrong. If some of them would give lessons I would certainly sign up. I think if I/ we could hit our cold bore shot things would start out a lot better.

I'd shoot that stage kneeling as the shooter in the pic and set up as I posted above....but keep in mind I only shot a 60 last Saturday in our last PRS of the year lol.

Put bipod legs down and if you have a small bag to attach under the forened it helps but just throw the rifle over the tube like the shooter in the link and push forward so the mag has some pressure and it will steady the rifle and make it more stable. Or if it's a larger tube then use the mag to rest on like a rear rest and move rifle forward or backward for elevation adjustment. Bottom line is you need to get as stable as possible like any position. Doesn't need to be pretty. Just stable.

You can see some pics here of us shooting off tubes near bottom. http://teamblaster.net/gallery/

It's a totally different hold to offset for the 90 degree shot. It's a tough shot for sure.
