Anyone have a fav little mag pouch for Mdl 64 mags? I do not want to risk messing up the tips of the mags or the ammo when I toss them in my range bag.

Hi - Just a note that I found a pouch for my 6 magazines. made of synthetic and the description doesn't mention Savage-64, but I took a gamble as it looked OK. Got lucky on this one.;) this will fit on a belt, but you can add Velcro if you want to mount onto stock. Only $10 plus shipping :pand will fit many other 'small' mags, prob like Rem and Marlins ??:rolleyes: Buy several for presents?:p

Thanks. I have seen these 6-pouch's. Happen to be larger than I want for the range bag. That particular one says it will take double-stack 45's. Pouch would be too huge for small skinny .22 mag like for a mdl 64.

Yes, that's what the descr said, but I gambled and got one. ;) the mags fit very well, just a little room to ease in/out. See pic below. I can't see a 45 mag fitting in, but maybe if squeezed in tightly. I have 6 mags since I complained to Savage about the feed lips wearing out too fast. fits great !!
BTW, I bubba'd the mag well, mag release, and bolt handle to make things go easier.:p
