I've got an older 110 in 7mag (long action). Mfg date is about '63. I'm trying to mount a nikon buckmasters 2 on it. Even with weavers "extended" front base, I'm still about 1/8" from bring able to get the scope on (rings are too far apart). Even then, there would be no room to adjust eye relief. I need these rings about 2" closer.

I've seen 1 piece bases online, but can't find one that is flat on the back and round in the front like my rifle requires.

I don't want to abandon the scope for another, as in this price range it's by far the best.

Should I go with a cantilever setup? If so, please tell me where to look!

I guess my search skills weren't as honed as I thought.
